More excitement over eateries and bars coming to downtown L.A. on Broadway! Only this time the wait is one day!
According to L.A. Eater, which has kindly been providing updates and coverage of the amazing space, Umamicatessen opens tomorrow! Limited, but still open! I cannot believe the amazingness that will be in one space:
- Umami Burger.
- The Cure: a much needed Kosher-style deli for downtown
- The Back Bar: Alcohol
- Spring for Coffee: local coffee + alcohol
- PIGG: I assume not much for those of the vegetarian variety
Doing my part to educate - for those wondering about the meaning of the Japanese word Umami, it is popularly referred to as savoriness, and is one of the five basic tastes together with sweet, sour, bitter, and salty.
