The $20 or Less Commitment & Event Recommendations

Being a lawyer does not leave for an abundance of free time.  Being a new lawyer, not employed at a big firm, straddled with student loan payments does not leave much money for that limited free time.  Thus, a new lawyer, not at a big firm, runs into a social quandary. What to do with the precious free time and no money?

The $20 or Less Commitment

Based on the above premise, and two recent event ticket purchases (see below), my similarly situated lawyer friend and I decided to commit to only attending events that are $20 or less going forward. However, in this verbal commitment, we have already found two big loop holes.

The Loopholes: One, we have both already purchased some costly tickets/entry to events.  Two, I am able to attend some pretty amazing events by virtue of being in a relationship with someone who produces events for a living and by being friends with his friends.  It really comes down to who you know.  Or in my case, who knows the who with whom you are sleeping.  But that does not roll off of the tongue.  Plus, then I start to wonder if I could have constructed a better sentence and if "whom" and "who" were used properly.  I can never remember those grammar rules.  Before digressing any further - the point being -  like any good lawyer we have already figured out how to cheat the system.

Despite our lying and cheating ways, following please find a list of events I recommend checking out (and happen to conform to The $20 or Less Commitment).
